Double yolks...

How often do you find them? Our chickens have laid 2 in the last month!

When ours first started laying we got quite a few double yolk eggs. It stopped over time.
2 Buff Orpingtons, 4 Black Sex Links,. 1 Golden Retriever, 1 "old man" cat and 2 Betta.

Double yolks are very common in pullets adjusting to laying.  After a bit, they stop and I rarely see double yolkers.

Breeding Welsummers and Barnevelders.

 

Having an Icelandic in the coop is like having a 2 year old in the house - they are into everything and don't follow the rules.
