I purchased two 5 day old silkie chicks yesterday. The woman is known for her healthy flocks.They are in a large bin in my spare bathroom, the temp is at 80°.They cheap a lot? Is that normal?

They are likely chirping because they are cold, or at least think they are, up the temp closer to 90° and they should be happier,lower it slowly over the coming days...
Give them a warm spot of closer to 100 degrees, and let the rest of the room be a normal temp. They'll self regulate how warm to be, and likely be quieter. At only 5 days old they'd be spending most of the day under momma if they had one, and she's close to 100 degrees. Just be sure they can get completely out from under the heat when they get too warm.

I cut the flaps off a small box and set it in there so they can get some shade.
