It would be good if those who are wanting to purchase true Ameraucanas would familiarize themselves with the Ameraucana breed standards listed by the Ameraucana Breeders Club at http://www.ameraucana.org/standard.html. True Ameraucanas are among the most strictly judged breeds and any bird that varies in any point from those standards is considered by the ABC to be an Easter Egger and not an Ameraucana. There's nothing wrong with EEs; I've had plenty of them myself and love the colored eggs, but chicken owners should be aware of what they are buying when they buy them so they will not be duped by the false labeling of the hatcheries.
