My baby Cornish cross chicks are sneezing, they are maybe a week and a half to two weeks old. They are eating and drinking and I don't notice any other symptoms?I have put antibiotics in their water for the past couple of days and it seems like its only getting worse! I also have already lost two, they had crusty eyes and wouldn't open them, it looked like something called coryza? Does anyone have any experience with that? Is that what is causing the sneezing? If it is coryza and I treat them will I be able to process and eat them later? Or are they now permanently infected and not okay to use for meat? Sorry for all the questions! This is my first time raising chickens!

The coryza won't preclude them as meat as it's only a bacterial infection of the respiratory tract.
Antibiotics may be a problem for eating though.

Have you had them since they were day olds?
I'm wondering where they got coryza if you haven't had chickens before and they're likely inside in a brooder.
I imagine it could be something else.

What is the antibiotic you used?
Treatment for coryza is erythromycin, streptomycin or sulfadimethoxine.

Are you sure they have enough ventilation and cool space to move away from the heat source?
What is your setup?

I ordered them from Ideal Hatchery, It took them about three days to get here (I was scared because it took so long they would all be dead but they were doing fine when they arrived) It may be a ventilation problem? We got a fan a turned on so it would occasionally suck air out to increase the ventilation. And I don't know what to do about heat, half of them are crowded under the light shaking (shivering?) and the other half are as far away as possible holding their wings out and panting. The antibiotics i'm using are Terra-Vet Tetracycline Hydrochloride Soluble Powder. Does that sound right? The brooder is a baby swimming pool with the walls built up with cardboard, so the brooder hasn't been in contact with other chickens. I researched for so long before I got my babies so I would know how to take care of them and I feel like a failure because they are all getting sick, what do I do?
