Wow, they are gorgeous!!! Thanks for sharing. :)

How is the SS? and I'm curious what the roos personality is like? I've heard some say the reds are mean and others aren't

Our SS, Atika, is a sweetie. She was a bit skiddish when she was younger, but not really now.

The roo is a pretty nice guy, gives us space and is really tolerant of kids. He has saved the girls from a few hawks and teaches them where to lay. He is currently looking for a new home because he's a bit large for our bantams. So if you (or anyone you know) want a roo..... Lol

Aw that's awesome! Mine are a tad skittish now too but that's cause I've had to chase them a lot to bring them in and out if the garage but now with the dog kennel they are out all the time so getting better. And.I've been digging up bugs for them too which always helps. :p

And awww wow he sounds amazing!! And OMG that picture is so cute! I would love a roo eventually but unfortunately I don't think my parents or neighbors would appreciate that. :( plus they get weirded out by the potential fertilized egg thing haha

My kids have handled her so much she doesn't bother running away anymore! Keep giving treats and I bet they get sweet in no time.

And the roo is great, and I would love to keep him, he's just so big.

I'll definitely keep trying that! So far I haven't given a ton and.when I do I just set it down and leave. Perhaps I will have to try hand feeding or at least staying in the run.

He seems it! And that really is unfortunate. :( I hope you can find a good home for him!

Yes, definitely keep treats on hand. They go nuts for mealworms. Of course nothing beats hatching your own chicks. We have hatched a couple times, always a great experience.

I've been catching worms while digging or letting them out while i dig and they love that

I'd love to hatch eventually

Oh yeah! Our oldest girl, Hope, is obsesses with me and the shovel. When I turn the run soil, we sometimes find grubs the size and lenght of my fingers.

Hatching your own chicks is the most exciting thing to do. I am totally hooked. Lol
