Just wanted to share a photo of our new babies from Freehling Farms in Kittanning, PA. We drove 2 hours to pick up these ladies, and once they're grown, they'll be joining our other 6 (4 buff orpingtons, 2 production reds) in our chicken house...

We got 3 Barred Rock, 3 Australorp and 6 Easter Eggers (not all pictured). One EE didn't make it, sadly, but the rest of the group is (*knock on wood*) doing great. The BR and Australorp hatched last Wednesday 12/9 and the EE are about a week older than that. I'm setting up a second brooder in case the age difference becomes an issue, but so far so good.

Looking forward to watching these ladies free range in our yard with the rest of the flock next summer :)

AWWW they are so cute! *wishes I had some chicks*
If they are not bothering each other now, the age difference won't be an issue. I know of some chicken keepers that brood chicks that are three weeks apart in age.

Awwwwww. Congrats on the new little fuzzy butts, soooo cute! Enjoy them!
