Right now that would be a brochure that pretty much says don't buy your fowl here. I don't think they would go for that, but perhaps an appeal to corporate to consider selling sexed fowl with the info would make them "stand apart". I could even note my current purchase from Metzer's the break down is:
Khaki Campbell $5.70
Total Ducks: $16.91
3 x Sexing @ $1.98 = $5.94
Extra small order charge (2-5 birds) $35
Total Cost: $68.50
Price / Bird: $22.83
Typical price per bird at feed stores $9
I would be crazy-happy to pay $13 per sexed bird (double the sexing charge) and have all shipping losses not be my problem.
I just wrote an email to Murdoch's corporate with pretty much the same info. And let them know if they did sell sexed birds, then distributing info on why customers would want sexed birds would be to their advantage and possibly make them a preferred feed store for purchasing poultry. I am guessing that larger farm purchases are called in and special ordered. They could always order in 100 straight run Pekins for example to sell to a farmer that is happy to cull excess drakes and put them on the table. But people buying less than 10 ducks would be getting their sexed ducks and the question "which is better", could start a whole beneficial train of instruction. :-)
