Duramycin 10 (powdered tetracyline)
The 800 mg dose is 1.5 tablespoons per gallon. Trust me, I've done the math and weighed the powder. Ignore any post or reference that says that the one tablespoon is the dose.
Duramycin 72-200 (injectable oxytetracyline)
I researched this and found that the most common dose was ~50 mg per kilogram, which works out to 0.025 ml per 100 grams, but someone recently went to their vet and the vet told them to use 25 mg per kilogram once a day for 10 days, so that would be 0.0125 ml per 100 grams.
Never use any injectable unless you have a way to get an accurate weight of a bird. Additionally, given given the size of your chick, I would not recommend giving it an injection, especially with this medication since it can cause *severe* injection site reactions.
Please don't think I'm yelling at you, I'm not, I'm just funny about this sort of thing.
