Extremely small chicken

I was told she was a possible frizzle. But now looking at pictures she must be a bantam.

She's not a frizzle anything.

She could be from a frizzle flock and just not have the gene. The way frizzle breeding works you can't breed two frizzles together because if a chicken gets two copies of the gene, they have serious issues, so you breed one carrier to a non carrier and half the chicks will be frizzled and half not, so she could be from a frizzled flock, but you are right, she herself is not frizzled.

Feathered feet-Buff cochin bantam???? Tail seems wrong.

I agree, and the leg color looks to be fairly dark too, and cochins don't have legs like that. I also think she has a beard. Perhaps a d'uccle?

Yep Pyxis, we breed frizzle Cochins and I agree that if she bearded she may be a D'Uccle.

I just love cochins :love I breed large fowl BBS and BBS mottled myself, but no frizzled ones. I haven't been able to find frizzled ones in LF, so I content myself with frizzled olive eggers, lol.

x2 for d'Uccle

can duccles come in buff color like that?

I have read that sometimes mille fleur d'uccles can look almost all buff until their first molt, at which time the mottling comes in, so maybe it's that? I think they may also come in buff Columbian.

Awesome! My wife favorites are the Cochin Bantams and D'Uccles so we will always have a breeding pen of them. (Feathered feet steals her heart I guess). Lol
