Which is ameraucana???!!!

Muffs are noticeable as soon a chick is dried off. Those fluffy cheeks are hard to miss. I think your bird is clean faced, and that's one reason why Lavender Ameraucanas are still in the 'project' phase. Breeders are still working on things.

That makes complete since to me! Gives me something to breed toward too... see what i can do! I noticed it was more clean faced... i looked for a beards and muffs all along, just never started seeing anything yet... we will see where this project takes me!

I agree that the bird in question is clean faced and that makes it an Easter Egger rather than a true Ameraucana. The standards for true Ameraucanas are among the toughest of any breed and include beards and muffs (http://www.ameraucana.org/standard.html) and the Ameraucana Breeders Club considers any bird that fails to meet all of those standards to be an Easter Egger rather than a true Ameraucana.
