Here are a couple of the comb. It clearly has no interest in being handled.

Thanks for the help. I figured it was a cockerel. I can't keep him since I'm in city limits, but it sure is disappointing to have bought an Americauna pullet from my local feed store, to find out it is neither an Americauna or a pullet.

You can not buy true Ameraucana from most feed stores. Feed stores source their chicks from the big hatcheries. The only big hatchery with true Ameraucana is Meyer, and they only have Black/Blue/Splash. They cost about $20 per sexed pullet chick.
99% of Ameraucanas sold in the U.S. are actually crossbred Easter Eggers. And Easter Eggers tend to be one of the harder to sex types. Most hatcheries only get their vent sexing right about 75% of the time when it comes to Easter Eggers.
There is nothing wrong with Easter Eggers, it's just that they are so often misrepresented. In fact, most Easter Eggers will mature more quickly and be better producers than true Ameraucana.

Does anyone know if this is a rooster or pullet, about 10 weeks old.
