They should start laying very soon judging by their red combs! 
New to chickens! Australorp hen or roosters?

Hey guys! I'm new also and I'm concerned one/two of mine may be roosters. I was given six by a family friend and I don't know their age or breeds. I suspect that the one on the left is a rooster but not too sure about the other. They've been at our place for two days now and no crowing so far. Your help is very much appreciated!

First egg today from our bossy Australorp!! She was hanging around nesting boxes I knew something was up. Pretty small with white specks let's hope the other freeloaders start soon! By the way the egg song was pretty funny even the others that don't lay yet joined in
