Is this speckled sussex a cockerel?

You don't give the age, but it looks to be a young cockerel.

With that red comb already, it's a cockerel. Pullets don't start to pink up in the combs until they are getting close to laying eggs.

OH yes!! That is what I initially was going by also, but then I read that speckled sussex tend to get very large combs very early on making it difficult to distinguish gender. I don't have another SS to compare it to. I started ignoring comb and started watching tail feathers. The temperament is nothing like a cockerel, but it's those tail feathers that have me wondering
