Hello what breed and gender is this chick?

- It is about 5 weeks old.

- Legs are turning a blueish and black colour

- It has what looks like black sprinkles on its feathers (hard to see in picture)

- Quiet, eats everything

THANKS

Rather early to be positive, but I'd say rooster. No idea of breed.

Where did you  get it from? I'm thinking Easter Egger or barnyard mix, cockerel.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

I got it from a bird shop, the owner breeds his own chickens. He doesn't know the breed name but he did mention it was birthed by a "chicken with black neck feathers".

If it were to be a purebred anything, my guess would be splash Ameraucana cockerel. But from your description of the source, I'm thinking mixed breed cockerel is more appropriate.

Mixed breed cockerel.

Agree with everyone above, for Cockerel & possible Easter Egger or Ameraucana mix with something else?  Will be interesting to see if his feathering colors remain white with touch of black.
