Kakhi Campbell worse for wear - Update: Seems to be on the mend. Thanks for those who offered sugge

@Miss Lydia Thank you! I will keep you posted- have hubby enlisted to help turn the garage into a ducky getaway tomorrow since he ruled out having poultry in the laundry room again. I'll let you know how it goes!

Well, husband put the foot down and said absolutely no way I can put two ducks in the laundry room. Lol. He's been patient so far, but that was the final straw. Fortunately, we don't use our detached garage much, so I was able to make them a pen in front of the garage and open the door 1/4 way up so the can get sunlight and fresh air. I'll close the door at night. It's far from pretty, but it will do the trick. So far, Lucy is VERY happy with this new arrangement. She and Ethel preened themselves in their water bucket for a good 10-15 mins once I put them in. Have her on some feather fixer pellets and gave her some chard and celery tops as a treat. I'm very hopeful this will be a good solution to lending her up. Once she's back to 100% I'll try them back in the regular coop/run and switch the other girls out. Worst case scenario, I have another outbuilding I can house them in more permanently if there is no other solution. Thanks again for your help!

That sounds great looks good and also makes me think the problem is with the chickens and if there is any way possible you might consider keeping them separate at night for good and try putting them all together for foraging once she is fit again. I say try you'll have to watch your hens.. I'm not kidding I have 1 BA that bullies all of my ducks the only members of the flock she doesn't mess with are my geese. they are all only together on half an acre during the day. I wish you the best
