Insect pest problem! Help!

You can buy the permethrin powder to treat the chickens....an easy way is to use a sock and put the powder in the sock and puff it onto the birds...the vent area and under the wings are the most important areas to treat....mites can be found in great numbers in those areas...lift the wings and you may see the critters crawling around...I would suggest that you use gloves and wear a mask as the powder should not be breathed in by you ...the same for the liquid for the coop...check instructions for the liquid...the one I buy is to be mixed with water...some you can use directly without diluting...do not use the spray on the birds;

It is best to treat the coop after you have let the birds out of the coop...
