My most recent batch of Muscovy. Ended up with a silver and white drake, blue and white drake and hen and a white hen, white hens split to the snowy down gene. Blue drake went to another flock. Have 12 eggs in the incubator but I'm not sure of any of those will be snowy-down

Are Muscovy drakes as aggressive towards females as other ducks are? Geese don't seem to have this issue so it's not a universal waterfowl trait, just a duck thing. I know mallard breeds have to have very strict sex ratios because the males will attack females constantly otherwise. Can you keep more even ratios of male/female Muscovies or is it still 1 drake per 4-6 ducks?

i started with Pekin, then Runner and Khaki, Cayuga, and then Muscovy. Started with 10 babies, grew the flock to over 500 birds, tnen now back to about 50 birds. Muscovies are the best duck breed for me; they solve my mosquito problem, mice/rat problem, and most importantly incubation issue.

when i had more than 500 Muscovies, they did not even make noise to the level of one Khaki female :)
