Is this a rooster or a pullet? - Page 8

Well, thank you for the clarification, I will hold onto it for now, I told the person Its on hold for someone. At least I have found a home for 2 of the cockerels, one of my neighbors  and someone off CL.

If this one turns out to be a true pullet ill be happier that I have 4 instead of 3, Im still waiting to see if my darker smaller one that I had to separate from the bigger ones, is going to be a pullet or a cockerel, its looking pullet with the comb but its still to early to tell.

I never thought that I would have ROOSTERS, they are way more messier then pullets are.

Its confirmed, its a rooster, the comb finally came in with 3 ridges and the feet compared to the pullet are HUGE. Not to mention the saddle feathers are starting to grow.I looked online and saddle feathers are only on cockerels/roosters.

The tail feathers came in and they are curved, is this another way of telling its a cockerel?

Saddle feathers do not begin to develop until about 10 weeks old, and can take several weeks for them to be clearly visible. All chickens get them, but males will have long, thin, pointed saddle feathers. Pullets' are rounded and broad, like the rest of their feathers.

I was able to give the actual rooster a home today, the other two now are the ones I am still worried about. I was going to give the smallest one away and my husband made a point " are you sure its a rooster the comb looks pale" I sat there looking for about 10 mins and said to myself, I am not sure, this actually is looking like a pullet.

I will post pictures later on of Little ninja and Speck.

Originally BYC said Lil ninja is a cockerel, WE shall see with these updated photos of it and find out from there.

I am happy at least the rooster is out of the brooder because it was going brooder crazy, it needed to be out of the brooder and outside with a flock, or outside in general.
