Showing off my beautiful Barnevelders!

I had never heard of Barnevelders until about a year ago. I got hatching eggs this summer from Fossil Rock Farm. I had 7 eggs, 5 hatched. Ended up with 3 Roos and two hens. We rehomed two of the roosters.
They are the most beautiful birds! The iridescence in their feathers is unbelievable. I got a few good pictures today. Pictures seem to come out better on overcast days for some reason. Hope you enjoy looking!

I have some hatchery Barnvelders, they are one of my favorite breeds, they really need to been seen in person, you have very pretty birds, how old are they?
Chickens, muscovy ducks, turkeys, donkeys , goats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a parrot, and a cat.

Chickens and dogs are healing to the soul.

I brake for squirrels.

Some of my birds.

They're going on 8 months. I'm not even sure the pulles have started laying.
They really are spectacular in person when the sun is shining on them.
