Treating diarrhea after impacted crop

Good point. Although, she did specifically say it's a single dose treatment and that even a second dose is no guarantee to get rid of all the worms. She said some birds are just more susceptible to heterakis than others, and there's a good chance it's in her genes. So a second dose may not do any good anyway. Poor girl :(
A dose of 50mg/kg (0.23ml per pound) should get rid of them.

TY! So, Monique is a banty cochin, only weighs 0.866 kg. Vet told me 20 mg per 1kg. If you say 50 mg per kg, that's more than 2x the prescribed dosage. Wouldn't that be a severe overdose?

I've been know to give 100 mg/kg when treating one for capillary worms. Stuff is pretty safe, but I don't know what an overdose amount is.

Fabulous info, thank you so much. I'll give her another dose tonight and cross my fingers. The vet gave me plenty, good thing!
What the vet gave you (panacur), you can buy without a prescription as Safeguard for goats, both are 10% fenbendazole (100mg/ml).
