Mille Fleur hen foot problems

Thread Starter
My 3 year old Mille flour has been having feet problems, she's been on antibiotics for 3 weeks. The vet doesn't know what caused the original problem but one of her toes had to be amputated. Now the toes are red and inflamed , she's limping a bit but otherwise normal. Appetite is good.
Anyone ever had this issue ?

Welcome to BYC!

It looks almost like there is something wrapped around the toe cutting off circulation. You could try soaking her feet in warm water to remove bits of poop and check if there is a piece of string around the toe. If there is then you could try to cut it carefully. If there isn't then she probably has some other problem affecting her circulation.

17 pigeons, 15 coturnix quail, 3 roos, 7 hens. Also 1 drake, a fat bearded dragon and 2 angora rabbits + eggs in the incubator.

Current projects are Cinnamon Legbars, Pinecomb chickens, brown pigeons and silver coturnix quail.
