Wasting Oyster Shells and Grit

​I accidently dropped some scratch in my buckets of oyster shells and grit.  Now the hens toss the grit and oyster shells out of their trays hunting for the goodies.

Projects:  Coop 1  -  Coop 2  -  Brooder Warmer  -  Chick Feeder  -  Solar Ventilation  -  Lighting

It's not really wasted. It will get consumed as they scratch through the dirt.

I am sure you are right.  I cannot see much evidence of it on the floor of the coop after a couple of days.
