Broody duck during winter?

Hello my duck Perry has never gone broody but now I think she is. She lays her usual but during the day I find another egg. She won't let me touch them and are scattered. But when I go check on them she's sitting on the newest egg. She goes outside but when she goes has no interest at it at all. Perry is a khaki Campbell can she be confused?

She maybe feeling a little of the broodiness but unless you live in S Florida I wouldn't  let her sit. She may pitch a fit if you take her eggs but this time of year isn't a good time to let a duck hatch ducklings. If she has any broodiness in her she try again when it's warmer. Then if you want her to try and hatch the weather will be more ideal for having ducklings hatch.

Ok I haven't been able to take the eggs. When I do she's snapping at her mate lemon is snapping at me. She also decide to lay them out of reach so I would have to go in not lean, but actually crawl in there

Maybe use a long pair of tongs to reach in and grab the eggs, like long grill tongs.  Or a small rake.

Put on a thick jacket and thick gloves  and remove both ducks so you can get   to the eggs then use the rake like AtrophineCaffein said or a stick what ever works.

and block off that area if it hard for you to get to. I had one of mine crawl under the ramp going into their house I still don't know she managed but after i found her on 7 eggs I got her and the eggs out and blocked off the area It was way to hard to get her and those eggs out of there.
