Chick stuck in egg

My one black chick died over the night and 2 are gone now and I don't know if they are dead or alive. It's so weird because they are not that big and only 10 days old. I keep my chicks in my house until they are old enough to go outside. Any idea of what happened or where they could be?
 
We just found them

They were dead behind a garbage can.

Yes that's what I'm going to do already bought it we have chicks on the way!!!! We always do it for the ducks because they are able to fly earlier expesially when we have Canadian geese that are abandoned
