What happens after incomplete molt?

History of bird would be interesting to know. In addition to increasing protein intake, I would look into forcing a molt out of season. That means manipulating photoperiod so she feels like it is late summer.

Does her sister have that wide legged stance? I suspect not, because the ones shown on various websites do not. She has a stance like a Cornish. Poor thing. Can you find another avian vet? We are so fortunate to have an avian specialist an hour's drive away. It took a while to find him, but he is priceless, Remember, too, that day length can affect their molt. I presume she is in a hospital cage away from the others and you can artificially adjust her day length. You might try lengthening her day while you are giving her lots of protein and vitamins. Pet stores that cater to parrots might have a molting supplement in sufficient quantity that you could feed her. I can't see you buying tiny jars of parakeet molting food by the gross!
