What breed is this roo? - Page 2

Seems he is from a Silkie breeder in Gridley, CA, so I suppose he was a project, and not from some random hatchery. He will be loved either way. I think I need to find him a Silkie lady. I have heard that silkies are broody.

I consider them a purebred Silkie again when they exhibit all of the proper Silkie characteristics, but that's just me. But, again, even the most proper, beautiful, purebred, show quality Silkies can throw undesired characteristics if the genes are there and fall into place.
He may not even be from a Sizzle project, but they're gaining popularity, so it's just a possibility.

Nice to find another Frilkie breeder, I love them just as much as my frizzled Sizzles! Adorable little things love.gif

I love them too, they're so silly to see running around the yard. I have one blue partridge pullet and one blue partridge cockerel. I keep them in my silkie breeding flock. I'm looking forward to getting chicks from them in the spring! The chicks are the cutest.

Awesome!
