Just joined BYC, I have been reading forums for a while and thought I should join. Was wondering if anyone has bred black sexlink hens with a landrace roo like a Swedish Flower or Icelandic with any success ?

"Success" in what way? They can breed successfully in so much as the roo can successfully fertilize the eggs of a BSL hen, but are you looking for success in terms of the production of the resulting chicks, an appearance goal for the resulting chicks or another factor?

Genetically, they are still both chickens, so yes they can successfully breed and produce offspring. It's not like you're trying to breed a chicken with a duck.

Sorry let me clairify, I mean with egg production, broodiness that kind of thing

No idea about broodiness, but as far as egg production, offspring won't lay quite as well as the black sexlink hens but might lay better than non-production breed.
