I set 18 eggs for the waning moon and a barren sign that are due in an hour. The incubator took a spike up to 104.9 which I think is responsible for losses. Only 5 made it to day 19. One chick is out and no other pips.
I regret that the temp spikes ruined my test of the fertile vs. barren sign hatch.
I don't really believe that hatching by the moon will significantly affect hatch rate if at all.
What I believe is, if there is any impact, it is in the vigor of chicks after they hatch.
