I am new to chickens and just got my first two. Was hoping someone could help me identify the breeds. I think the black & white is a Plymouth Rock but I am not sure about the other one. Can anyone help?

Thank you!

Your black and white girl is indeed a barred Rock

the other hen is not an Ameraucana. She may be an Easter egger, if she lays blue or green eggs. However, with the straight comb and clean face, I'm thinking she's simply a mixed breed brown egg layer.

The good news is they're both female and should give you a nice amount of eggs.

The black and white is a Barred Plymouth Rock pullet.

The other looks to be an Easter Egger pullet, and she also looks like she may be rumpless. This occasionally happens with EE stock that has had a recent infusion of true Araucana blood. @donrae Where are you seeing a straight comb? It looks pea to me, although it's hard to be 100% without a close up of it.

Since the bird in question is not one of the accepted colors for Ameraucana, is not muffed or bearded, it can not be an Ameraucana. It's an Easter Egger. They are not the same thing.
Actually she is a brown red Ameraucana. That is an accepted variety.

That's not Brown Red. Brown Reds have the same coloring as a Black Copper Marans. Hens are black with some brown, red, or gold in the neck and chest; nowhere else. The lack of muffs and beard are enough to show that she isn't Ameraucana, though.
