I live on an island called Tasmania with 6 cats, 13 chickens and a few fish. I am 11 and love my chickens very much. I own Wyndottes, Hyline Browns and a few  unkown breeds. My girls have a coop and a night area were their food and water is stored. Then there is a fenced of area I let the girls into every day, with trees and dirt and grass. I have lost 4 girls since I started raising hens. I am excited about learning more imformation on chickens! :cd:jumpy

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Welcome to Backyard chickens.  Did you lose  birds to predators or illness?  Maybe we can suggest ways to prevent that.

Sorry you've lost some of your chickens, that seems to go along with having them. If there's anything we can do to help you not lose more, please let us know.

Molly sure is a pretty girl! Thanks for sharing a picture.

Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-
