Hi! I've never posted here before, but I've been on this site for a few months now. I'm new to poultry. Last April, I got my child 2 ducks for Easter...and have now added 13 chickens to the flock along the way. We plan to expand our flock this spring, and eventually look to homestead as much as we can. Does anyone know of a poultry processing facility in southern or central Indiana? I am specifically looking for a place that will kill AND process initially. My goal is that if I can eat the meat I raise with no problem, then down the road I will kill myself and potentially even process. Baby steps...
But I am struggling to find a place that processes chickens. I'd even be willing to travel to the very eastern portion of Illinois or northern Kentucky. Would anyone be able to help me? And I apologize if this isn't the right forum for this post. :/ Thank you for any help offered!
