Maybe. I've got some pullets from those hens that are about to lay any day. It was a test breeding to figure out which eggshell genes the rooster has. The barred Rock hens produce black sexlinks, so I knew right from hatch which chicks to keep. Once they start laying, if they all lay green, then my rooster has two blue eggshell genes. If a few lay brown, then he only has one blue eggshell gene.
 
Ok so now im pretty confident that indie is a cockerel lol this girl/ boy is all full of surprises XD

Now this got me questioning my production reds. Im thinking that theyre just developing faster because theyre bred to. Theyve got little pink waddles and theyre combs are more prominent than the ee with the exception of indie. So first runner up is Nedina. Shes darker and bigger than chica so idk if that means anything.(im only gonna do a close up on nedinas waddles bc once is enough they both have the same)
