My biggest one yet!!!

Production dropped off to 0-1 a day for about a week, but then hopped back up to 3-4! Here's the last 5 days worth!

Mine are still goofing off. 4 is the most 1 is the least. The weather has been up and down like crazy and Kaine has been in jail which most of the girls like less than Kaine does. They completely mob him when I try to let him out head bobbing and chasing him all over the yard. One day I opened the door to let him out and my two Rouen girls and one of the runners charged him heads a bobbin'. He turned around and walked back into the jail and looked up at me to close the door. I did and he seemed relieved. The point of that story is I think that might be a stress on the girls and they are mating each other like crazy in the pools. Tevye is now fairly competent and does what he can, and the girls let him, but they really want Kaine.

So I am going to blame the weather and the stress of Kaine being a jail bird. Maybe this is normal with "Mature ducks" don't know. Last winter was just a blip in their egg laying. This year they've taken a major vacation.

Duck jail!!! Got room for another "bad egg" in there?!?! I have Ricki, welshie male.... Baaaad duck!!! Not that his brother Desi is any better, but, he's smaller so the girls just drive him off!

I've stopped collecting eggs, I'm getting my max every day (16). They've taken over the fridge! For 3 days now I've let the girls keep em... Of course, as I type this, it's down to 27°.. Grrrr. But, the ladies are ready to start broodiness! Bring on the 'lings!!

Had my first 5 egg day!

That means 50% of the girls were working...

Got two eggs today; one very average 75g, and one itty bitty 47g! I think one of the youngins is finally laying
