Looking for Scarlet Macaw feathers

Thread Starter

Hello,

I am posting because I was wondering if anyone had Scarlet Macaw feathers that they would be willing to part with.  I tie flies and Scarlet Macaw is one of the feathers called for in some of the patterns that I tie.  I would be looking for the wing covert feathers that are yellow with the blue tips and also the center tail feathers from the bird. Lastly I would be looking for the powder blue colored tail coverts. Here are a few photos of some of the flies that I have tied and also the feathers that I am looking for.  If you have some of these feathers and would be willing to part with them shoot me a PM.

Thanks,

Zach

Got Moluccan cockatoo feathers if that helps? You must be after some REALLY big fish!

Try finding a local bird rescue.  I know the one we volunteered at would save feathers to exchange for donations from folks looking for feathers.

You could also try etsy and/or ebay/craigslist.  Good luck!

Beautiful flies by the way!  They're amazing!
