Thank you. I'm trying to figure out what the right thing to do with chickens (buying breeds I mean) is? With dogs, to me, if you are going to buy a purebred, I would only get one from a home that has earned titles either in show and / or field and trial to show they have the best of the breed. Otherwise I'd rescue (which is what we do). With chickens, if you get these pretty neat fancy breeds I'm guessing there are good breeders who are bettering the breed vs bad breeders who just want to sell chicks? I don't plan to show my chickens, but I also want good stock.
