What breed and gender?

My husband brought it home, It's past owners didn't want it. The most bizarre thing is that it looks like a hen to me, but it has spurs. They said it lays eggs, but acts like a Rooster.

That's very normal behavior. She's trying to establish that she's bigger, older, and in charge. It's not called pecking order for nothing. As long as no blood is drawn, it's best to just let them sort things out.
