Hey y'all.  Living in eastern North Carolina and looking to start raising chickens this year.  Not sure what to expect or what to do but willing to research and find out what will be needed.

Thank you,

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on CherriesBrood; if you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

In addition to the Learning Center, you can go to your state thread and ask other members in NC for advice:

http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread

The Search box (upper left, under the logo) is helpful for finding things. And always feel free to ask questions, there are a lot of helpful members here and a ton of information.

Make yourself at home here, it's nice to have you!

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
