Bleeding comb on Cockerel

The light is only used for actual light because I have a hard time seeing there is a 40w bulb in there right now but I can take it away and use a flash light. I add some cracked corn and rolled oats to their fermented feed twice a week. The bottom of the brooder is sand that they use for dust bathing as well as grit. I move the items around and add new activities a couple times a day in hopes of staving off boredom but apparently that is not working.

One year I got too many chicks for my brooder size and didn't take them outside during the day nor did I move them into a larger pen, they began pecking each other, I immediately moved them out to the coop and they thankfully stopped. Your chicks look fully feathered, they will continue to peck each other until you move them out.

Looks like his eye might be hurt too.  I would separate him temporarily and treat his eye with eye ointment. But if they are overcrowded, you need to address that asap.

Yes it is also just above his eye.

Their bellies are not all the way feathered and some of the boys are still fluff under their wings. We've been really cold in the Midwest so I've held off taking them out to the coop

I do have large tote I originally used for the brooder. I'll work on separating them until they fully fluff which will hopefully be by the end of this week.

Thank you every one! I have 2 of them in a 50 gallon tote at least overnight until I can re assess their outside room possibilities. Temps are suppose to be above zero the next couple days to get them accommodated to the new area.

The best thing would be to move them out to the coop and run a heat lamp for a few more weeks out there, providing your coop is big enough.

These are the first 7 in this coop so there is plenty of room. I'll need to plastic part of the open side, leaving ventilation but keeping in heat. It is closed on 3 sides but open on the third, however most is blocked by my shed that it bumps up against.
