Pallet Safety - Good Info Link

Thread Starter

Found this today and thought I'd share.

This link goes to a pallet safety page so you can learn to identify some possible toxicity issues.

There are lots of ideas to reuse pallets for on that website too.

Great article on VENTILATION, one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of coop design.

Fantastic treatise to help decide how much SPACE your chickens need.

Chicken math is not just 'addition'...but also should include Division, Multiplication and especially Subtraction!!!

I just happened to be on that page this morning after reading another thread where someone suggested pallets to someone who wanted cheap wood. Many people say the bromide dissipates shortly after treatment, but others say it lingers. I get a good number of pallets each year through my home business. I choose to err on the safe side myself and only use/keep pallets that are heat treated.
