Hi everyone...

I have this muscovy "hen" that I bought a month ago...

"She" is all by herself right now so She really doesn't make any noise.. We had a couple more but they took off and left "her"behind..And without another to compare "her" to in person I'm just not sure..

Is she a she?...

Yay! That's what I thought.. But I always second guess myself...

I'm picking up 4 more muscovy hens this week end to keep her company...

I had more but one day everyone but her disappeared😞...

I'm having trouble finding a drake locally... I'm keeping my eye out though. I want to breed this year

That is great 👏🏻 I hope you can find a handsome drake for your girls. Muscovys are really good fliers so they probably flew away so you might need to clip their wings. I'm not an expert but I got great resources from @Miss Lydia
On how to clip them properly. Your duck is beautiful ❤️❤️ Does she have a name?

Her name is Penelope... We did clip wings. We clip all of out birds.. Guineas included.

We do live 1/4 mile from the river so that's most likely where they went. Last year I had pekins that would wander down during the day and come home every night.

We got rid of that bunch because the females were just so noisy all the time I could never sleep.. Lol... Even my guineas don't make that much noise lol

What a beautiful name ❤️
You won't have that problem with Muscovys since they don't quack. I really love those peeping sounds they make 😍
