Hi!
Does anyone bake special 'dog treats'. I usually bake 'cookies' (for treats) for Darby and Lily once a week (whenever the oven is on anyway for people food).

I usually use whole wheat flour and oatmeal, veggies (peas, spinach, squash, broccoli, carrots, whatever is about to be 'too old' in the freezer), eggs, and meat broth of some form. And cinnamon... they are crazy for cinnamon.
I just made a new batch and used the chicken skin (cooked and whirled in the food processer) and 'foot broth' (I hate for the feet to go to waste, but not quite ready to eat chicken feet myself [but it smelled wonderful]).

The question is, what else could I be adding to the 'Puppy Cookies' to make it more beneficial for the pups?
Thanks,

olive oil is good for their circulation/heart and cholesterol! Use in place of margerine./shortening and reduce the amount of liquids used!

Mine love "Corn bread"... I make it like regular corn bread but add ground cooked chicken livers/giblets (no salt or sugar tho) And olive oil instead of shortening..I make it thick and bake it like cookies.

Mine love cookies with p-nut butter in them! I also run the eggs shell and all through the blender and like you, clean out the fridge and freezer. The only other thing I can think of that probably everybody in the world knew to do but me, instead of making individual cookies, making one big flat one and cutting into cookie sizes after baking!
