Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-

Well im having problems posting pics ive done what people say upload it and it said it posts but then i dont see it anywhere so as soon as i get that figured out i will be posting my chicken pics on here:) i will explain how i got started and what breeds i have! I was 7 years old and always wanted chickens so my grandma gave me two of her hens and a rooster, all were leghorn mixes. So when they started to get old i knew i always wanted to keep chickens around so i ordered 40 peeps of all different breeds from meyer hatchery to raise my own! They did great all of them made it to adults and they were doing fantastic! Well after they all started laying i was getting wayyyyyyy more eggs then i could sell and eat i didnt get many egg buyers cuz i kinda live in the middle of no where so i had to sell a lot of my girls which broke my heart but i had to! The rest of my family wanted to eat them and im not against that but i raised them all from babies so i couldnt do that. So i found great homes for all of them and one girl actually showed one of my chickens at the fair two years in a row won grand champion with her i was so proud! So after all that i settled with a perfect number and amount of eggs for me i now have 14! Two roosters a few pullets my hens hatched and the rest of my girls! I have speckled sussex black copper marans black astrolorps barred rocks wyndottes a few mixed girls and ive raised a bunch more different breeds but thats what i currently have. In all the years raising chickens ive only lost two! My older girls that dont lay anymore a friend of mine has a chicken sanctuary so to speak and he has a lot of acres he retires chickens and ducks and stuff and he loves to take my older girls to retire there cuz they are so tame and loving! So thats my starting chicken story thanks to everyone for the welcome and im so excited to get started on here!
