that is possible. the brand was "duvert" vitamins and minerals from tractor supply. (thats the only place near me to get anything other than feed and bedding) and it has a lot of vitamin D in it. are you familiar with the side effects of vitamin D OD in chicks? i am not.  and now i am feeding manna pro medicated chick feed.

I too am having the same problem. I lost 2 of my 3 day old babies. Same thing happened last year. I think maybe yours and mine got into eating shavings. Now I changed shavings and put paper towels over the shavings. Only time will tell

im sorry! i am just now seeing your post. the only thing i can think is that either my chickens had too many vitamins from the electrolytes or they ate shavings, or the brooder was getting to cold at night (since my brooder is in our breezeway) i have two of mine left and i brought them in the house in a cardboard box on papertowels. i got save a chick electrolytes and probiotics and gave them some of that in their water and got mannapro medicated chick fee incase something was wrong with my feed. so far all is well with both of them. good luck with yours and hopefully we can both figure out what is causing our problems.
