major swollen booty

My maran has a huge swollen area under her bottom. It's soft and doughy to the touch and has no feathers. I did notice other chickens ripping a few feathers out of her too. Any idea whatthis ccould be and how to help her? Thanks .

Are you sure it is swollen?  Just looks like feather pecking to me.

I guess I am not certain then. But the area gets bigger and then smaller, so I assumed that was swelling?

I'd coat it in blue-kote to prevent picking and see how it goes. Good luck!
