Egg malformation what does this mean

We have 1 bird who was acting strangely for about a week. She disappeared then reappeared...was very lethargic and kept away form the other birds. Egg production all but ceased for a few day and then we found this. I can't be sure which chicken produced this egg ( we have 3). But I know it was 1 of 2 as we only have 2 Barred Rocks and they produce brown eggs.
Regardless which one produced this egg I would like to know what it means, if anything.


 
Thanks for your help. Will keep an eye on it and see what develops.
We are seeing improvement in behavior since the egg was laid. So we were thinking the egg was the cause, not a symptom. But like I said I'm not sure which chicken laid the egg.
