What am I?

I'm sorry to mooch off your post but I'm a newbie and haven't quite figured out how to create a new thread.

I just have 2 chickens I'm curious about. I bought 5 from a garage sale back in Mid March. I've lived in Franklin, TN for 13 years and have always wanted chickens but I was too scared (chicken Haha--- sorry) to just go ahead and do it!

The Grayish-brownish one is Laverne and the black one with the white feathers

on her head & neck is Shirley.

Laverne - doesn't look like any breed I know... a mix maybe?
Shirley - looks like possibly a silver laced Wyandotte

Congratulations on taking the plunge! they are beautiful!
