Do chicks out grow heating plates before not needing them? - Page 3

I used the heat plate up until 2 weeks ago (4weeks old) they were fully feathered and just kinda laying on the outskirts and around the brooder.

Just for the record all 14 chicks still fit under the Small heat plate at 4 weeks. They huddle up closely when they want too.

We now have 3 new additions under the plate since the chicks are outside now. DUCKLINGS!!!! What little sweethearts, they love the heat plate!

They do and it's the most adorable thing to watch!!! We got these 3 at TSC so I'm not certain how old they are, maybe 4-5 days old now and they chase each other around the water dish and jump in each other as if playing leap frog.
