In the Brooder
I used the heat plate up until 2 weeks ago (4weeks old) they were fully feathered and just kinda laying on the outskirts and around the brooder.
Just for the record all 14 chicks still fit under the Small heat plate at 4 weeks. They huddle up closely when they want too.
We now have 3 new additions under the plate since the chicks are outside now. DUCKLINGS!!!! What little sweethearts, they love the heat plate!

you could reduce the heat a bit to ween them off it ? Out of curiosity, do ducks play? wee.gif
