I got these chicks back in October so they are about 3.5 months old or so about 16 weeks old. From the combs I was thinking they were hens but they are getting these 2 big feathers on their tails so I am wondering if they are getting their tail feathers or if those are rooster feathers?

Well darn it! Thats kind of what inwas thinking. Guess were pry gonna eat the blue one and keep the other and get some pullets this spring.

Well you all aren't helping me out here lol. Guess I'll be getting some pullets come spring. Another excuse to get more chickens lol

You can eat him if you want to but there won't be much quality meat on him since he wasn't bred for that, and the processing might be more trouble than it's worth. Maybe re-home him?
