Silkie gender

When the comb first started to develop I was positive it was a cockerel. The comb stopped developing and there's no hint of color. And I know what you mean about the streamers. Some days they don't show at all. I have 10 other chicks that are a month younger, and the boys are obvious! I'm stumped.

All of the roosters I keep back for breeding have small combs, some smaller than yours. I'm 99.9% sure you've got a boy there. And he's REALLY purdy!

Thank you. He/she is very sweet. I really don't care if he's a roo, he's the only chick that hatched from a dozen shipped eggs. Precious either way!

I quit looking at Yvonne through my rose colored glasses, and I'm pretty sure she's a HE. I do see streamers and now in all the fluff of the tail feathers I see what look like sickle feathers poking through. Again, I don't care if he's a roo. Just add him to my ever expanding bachelor pad.
Does anyone have any idea on his color? He's from blue/cream breeding. Do they look like this at 6 months? The hackle feathers are concerning to me. Shouldn't they be cream/buffish?

It's official! I heard a squeaky crow this morning when I was feeding the "big" chickens. I snuck to the Silkie pen and waited.....sure enough, it was Yvonne. He seemed quite pleased with himself too. Silly boy :)
